WENDOUREE CRESCENT PARK

Public BBQ

Wendouree Crescent Park sits beside the Brisbane River with a canopy of large, mature fig trees providing natural shade across the entire space. The playground features dual flying foxes and a small green truck, appealing to kids who also have plenty of open areas to explore safely. The park includes picnic tables and electric barbecues, though the BBQ units don't always function reliably. Paved paths make the main areas wheelchair accessible, with scenic river views and cooling breezes on hot days. The spot remains relatively quiet and peaceful, popular with dog walkers and families looking for a shaded riverside setting. The main drawback is the absence of toilet facilities, which is inconvenient given the BBQ setup encourages longer stays.
